NEWTOWN, Ind. (CNS) — Mrs. Lula Franklin, 90, a resident of Newtown for 28 years, died at 9 p.m. Monday (Jan. 1, 1973) at the Bowles Nursing Home in Clarks Hill. She had been a patient about a year. Born Dec. 26, 1882, at Kokomo, she was the daughter of Henry and Hattie Tyre Hullinger. She was married at Clarks Hill to Ira Franklin, who died in 1961. She was a member of the United Brethren Church. Survivors include a son, Herbert of Crawfordsville; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a nephew and a niece. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Thursday at the Dale Maus Funeral Home in Attica, with the Rev. Clyde Greggs officiating. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery near Greenhill. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  --typed by Walt W
